Jon K is a stalwart of Manchester music. Co-creator of the legendary Eyes Down session, which was a huge inspiration in the conception of Hoya:Hoya, he also manned the counter and was THE go to guy at the sorely missed Fat City record shop. Now a Hoya:Hoya resident, he moves from genre to genre with absolute ease, as well as a genuine passion and a deep knowledge of whatever he plays – just ask anyone who knows him, or has seen him play. About this mix, he says, "It features some old faves, tracks from 2011 and some old stuff I've been playing recently, as well as some stuff that will always remind me of 2011. A special shout to Kristina Records in Dalston, I counted at least 7 tunes on the mix that came from those guys, and they've definitely restored my faith in record shopping in the capital this year."
