Marcelo Tag is currently based in London, but he became known as a DJ long before relocating to the capital. He first earned his stripes playing regularly at Turin’s Doctor Sax through the early 2000s, making a name for his love of house and techno’s deeper side in a city where few others were ready to embrace the style. While Tag has put out a number of his own records over the years, another of his key focuses has been signing and releasing music. During his days in Italy he helmed the imprint Carnival Records, while his time in the capital has most recently been devoted to the label and party, We Play The Music We Love. Head to one of these sessions and you’ll typically find him going from prime deep house into contemporary techno and tech house, and as he makes an appearance in Room One for Subsonica’s After Party this Sunday, he sent us an exclusive mix showcasing the same sleek playing style.
