Crate Diggin': Culture Shock's Highest Moments of Jungle Euphoria

Da Intalex - What Ya Gonna Do
By the late great Marcus Intalex. For me, this might be the greatest intro of all time. I used to play this on repeat - it has a transcendent vibe that I don’t think has ever been matched. I’ve been playing it out in select sets recently which is testament to the quality of the track as it’s 24 years old.LTJ Bukem - Horizons
Featured on the first CD ever owned - Jungle Mania 3 (mixed by Grooverider). This track stood out from the rest of the CD tracklist and just blew me away. This is definitely a track that first got me in to electronic music.Sub Focus - Smooth
One of Sub Focus’ most sublime tracks - pure vibes, perfectly executed. Still sounds fresh today.Commix - Strictly
My favorite Commix track. I remember hearing Andy C drop this for the first time at The End. Ridiculously lush strings in the intro which instantly sets the emotion before a contrasting heavy drop. The Future Sound of London - Papua New Guinea [NuTone Remix]
Nu:Tone’s update of this seminal Jungle Anthem from The Future Sound of London. You’d be hard pressed to find a vocal which can affect you as much as this one.Sub Focus - You Make It Better (feat. Culture Shock & TC)
I really enjoyed working on this collaboration with Nick Sub Focus for his second album, making use of TC’s impressive vocal skills - he should do more!Crystal Fighters - Love Alight (Culture Shock Remix)
This is probably my most euphoric production to date and felt right to add to this list. Bonus Tip: If you missed it first time round, here's Culture Shock going B2B with Dimension on a sunny London roof top.Tags
