fabric Originals: LUXE new single 'Duality' out now ahead of bass compilation 'fabric SELECTS II'

The London-based DJ and producer balances tension and conflict in the percussive new track out now ahead of our next curated compilation.

The next single from our forthcoming original music compilation fabric SELECTS II has arrived. London-based bass music DJ and producer LUXE today unveils the brooding, atmospheric and delicately balanced track ‘Duality’ for release via fabric Records / fabric Originals. The track is a detailed addition to the compilation, which celebrates bass music from pioneers past, present, and future through a number of sonic iterations. ‘Duality’ is available to stream now on digital platforms.

LUXE’s percussive and tense ‘Duality’ is the next single on the forthcoming bass-focused compilation. ‘Duality’ is dark and brooding, omitting ominous and captivating undertones that would spark any raver’s ear. LUXE creates a delicate sense of conflict and tension as various aspects of the track swirl, sway and drop, leaving us deeply in its throws. LUXE commands this duality of tension and release expertly, letting these two forces battle it out throughout the track. After the intensity is renewed after a dip in the mid-point of the track, we are driven forward with unrelenting energy right until the close. An outstanding level of detail underpins the track, as LUXE creates a moody and atmospheric addition to the expanding and exciting catalog of UK bass, that haunts and captivates us in equal measure.

fabric SELECTS II is the second compilation on fabric Originals and is set for full release on 12th May.

After SELECTS I’s techno-focused compilation, this time around SELECTS II puts focus on bass music, featuring a host of the scene’s most creative and forward-thinking producers and stakes claim as fabric’s vision on what the future of bass music sounds like. The 10-track compilation will also include new original music from Le Motel & Flowdan, dBridge, Al Wootton, Neil Landstrumm and more with Skream’s new track – and his first dubstep release in ten years – ‘Summoned’ already out to mark the announcement of the new compilation.

fabric SELECTS II aims to put new groundbreaking bass work at the forefront. Not just from the first two singles from LUXE and Skream, but in its overall platforming of bass and hybrid club sound pioneers front-and-centre on a major new compiled works.
