Marcel Dettmann’s new EP ‘Electric Drive’ is out now on fabric Records / fabric Originals. Following on from the release of his first album in 10 years in 2022, the expansive Fear Of Programming, Berlin techno icon and fabric regular Marcel Dettmann returns to electronic music production on a brand new EP.

The four-track EP is out today and marks Dettmann’s first release on fabric Originals. The project is out on both digital and vinyl, with digital downloads being exclusively available via Beatport until 30th June.

A full-bodied cut of driving, digitised techno, Electric Drive thrives on intensity from the outset of its title track. Pairing a hypnotic yet truly dynamic synth centre-piece with a hard-hitting, no-nonsense percussive line, the track strips Dettmann’s signature sound to its raw elements - the result? A handy tool for any DJ tool ready to ignite their sets with potent force.

There was no doubt in our minds this beloved club mainstay would craft an unignorable addition to our ongoing Original music EP series. And the Berlin techno stalwart has done just that; his no-holds-barred return to full-throttle techno production.
