Feed Your Stereo: A Duo Of Mixes From Deanoloco And Mike Healey

Last week we treated you to an enlightening exchange of words between co-founders, Mark Gwinnett and Saytek, of Cubism before the label is set to take the lid off Room Three this coming Saturday. In between the details of imminent new EP's from the Cubism family, Saytek's ever evolving live show and why Beardy Man is one of the most inspirational live acts they have come to enjoy, we also got to hear their enthusiasm for Mike Healey and Deanoloco who are two primed Cubism talents spoiling us on Saturday night with the labels special community spirit. Mike Healey has been a Cubism resident since the onset and has established himself as an original and adventurous producer with releases on Sensei and Cubism as well as choosing to recently explore the horizons of his live performance defining his sound ever more. Deanoloco is also an integral Cubism family member who has regularly played in the labels home turf of Maidstone, Kent and knows all about the space and dynamics that bare the fruits of the labels origins. Just in time for the weekend with have a duo of mixes from Deanoloco And Mike Healey available to download and get you ready for the dancefloor chaos of Cubism on Saturday night. Deanoloco My sets over time have evolved into a very deep dark electronic sound with lots of strange messed up sounds creeping through giving that feeling of mystery, and ultimately a sound to help the mind lose itself in the dark surroundings my music is usually played in till the early hours. The tracks selected in this mix are just a few of very many that help take myself on a journey, and hopefully others into the dark futuristic underground sound of electronic music and seems fitting for the set times I tend to play which are as late in the night/morning as possible. I love to play Room Three at fabric and cannot wait to be playing there again this month alongside the rest of the cubism family! DOWNLOAD: Deanoloco fabric Promo Mix Tracklisting: 1. Geffen/ Barnt/ Comeme Mike Healey This mix feels like me: A few of my own tunes to express what I'm about, and it builds from slightly moody and unassuming to a tougher flow, with the kind of momentum building that reflects the warm-up sets I do with Cubism. I love playing the warm up as it affords the opportunity to play some interesting deep stuff that might not have the momentum for peak time. I also wanted to shout about the label and big up a couple of my main influences in here, such as Nicolas Jaar and Reset Robot. All told, I think it covers most of what I'd want to express to anyone that had an affiliation with fabric! DOWNLOAD: Mike Healey fabric Promo Mix Tracklisting: 1.
