In the Bag: Cassy’s latest house bombs

My Message – Junior Sanchez [Purveyor Underground]
I love Junior Sanchez as a producer, he’s always been one of my favourites. For me, he creates house music at its best – it’s direct and to the point. Really happy to see him on Demuir’s label Purveyor Underground. This track is a bomb. The Sturdy Track – Adryiano [Shall Not Fade]
This record uses a sample from an old hip hop track by Arrested Development. It’s such a big track, but when you hear it for the first time and know the sample, you might think it could go wrong. It fits so well in a house record without becoming cheesy – admirable production skills. It’s genius how something so obvious can be really good. Obvious is more sometimes. I played it recently at Culture Box in Copenhagen and it hit it off.Together – Cinthie [Crystalgrooves]
I love Cinthie’s music. I was checking out her new tracks, found this one and remembered that Art Alfie played it when we were in Stockholm together. This is a real bomb. A big record that deserves to be heard more.High Ache – Kristin Velvet [Kwench Records]
My label Kwench Records recently hit its first year anniversary. Every track I release on Kwench is something I’d want to play during my sets. I’m so happy with this release and the response it’s had. It’s a stunning house track, a real feel-good record.Mystery Of Fantasy (G’s Fantasy Mix) – Black Jazz Consortium [Perpetual Sound]
It’s been a while since I’ve given Mr. G a regular blasting, and in this track, I’ve got another gem I’ll have on rotation. He’s in between house and techno, so for me, whichever direction I want to go in, he gets me there. Often if I’m unsure what to play next, it’s the ever-reliable Mr. G I turn to.
