In the Bag: Djebali shares his picks for the summer

Prepare for a serving of classy Parisian grooves this Sunday, as Steppin’ Motion land in Room One. For their next outing, they’ve invited a master of the modern style of slick, minimalist house that’s currently popping off across Europe as Djebali lands. Ahead of helming Steppin’ Motion’s session with us, he dug into his bag to pick out some of his highlight tracks of the summer.

S.A.M. – Fury’s Laughter [Delaphine/PIV]

One of the tracks of the summer for sure! I’ve witnessed a few DJs from different genres dropping it and well, this a dancefloor burner! The vinyl is out on S.A.M.’s label Delaphine and via digital on PIV.

Franco Cinelli – Consequences [raum...musik]

Here is a combo of one of my favourite labels raum…musik and the legend Franco Cinelli! This one is groovy as well as hypnotic, it fits any moment from warm-up to peak time to the after party… it can’t go wrong!

Djebali & Chris Stussy – Falcon [djebali]

Lately, my bro Chris Stussy and I have been working on a huge number of tracks. This one is a vinyl only release called Part 1 and is out now, and Part 2 is out in July. Also forthcoming in September is an EP on another great label called EWax. On Falcon, groove and emotion are nicely balanced. In a car on a road to the after party, it will catch you!

Rowlanz – Remember My Dreams [POD]

This one from Rowlanz would literally burn a dancefloor. This guy is throwing massive tunes at the moment, you’d better check his work as soon as possible if you haven’t yet. He’s developing such a nice identity, and the sound of his tracks is always on point! We’ve just started a collaboration together, so expect some more music in the near future.

Jessica Diaz – Sietetress [Musica Lunar]

This came from a 50-track compilation called Music Lunar, which has been produced by Argentinian artists only. You definitely have to check this compilation, there are gems in it! I love to play this one to open a set, a little bit melodic but with strength and groove!
