In the Bag: Eli Brown shares his top dancefloor picks for the year

Solardo & Eli Brown – XTC [Ultra]
I had to include this tune as it’s been a massive track for me this year. Originally written in March, just in time for Miami Music Week, it was one of those tunes that started life as a bit of fun for our DJ sets and I don’t think either of us anticipated how much the track would take off. The combination of nostalgic vocals, old skool synths and big heavy bass never fails!Sosa – DFCW [Solä]
I wanted to include a new artist in this feature and Sosa is definitely a guy to watch out for. Lee Foss actually first turned me on to Sosa and when I reached out him this was in the first batch of tunes he sent me. It’s been a massive staple in my DJ sets for months – the vocal is so catchy, and I love the raw groove on it. Sosa is set for big things, believe me!Adam Beyer & Bart Skils – Your Mind (Will Clarke Remix) [Drumcode]
Another tune that’s been in my sets for the best part of a year. When approaching a remix for a tune of this magnitude it’s always a difficult task, but Will has nailed it with this one. I love that fact that it still retains the vibe of the original but brings a jungle and drum & bass influence to the tune. The bassline on this is disgusting, and something I’ve been using to close my sets.Andres Campo – DaShit [Mindshake]
Slamming tribal techno vibes on this one. I love this tune as I can play it in both my more tech house sets, and darker techno sets. A proper DJ tool that’s just super fun to mix, something Andres is really good at in my opinion. I feel this tune went a little under the radar, but trust me – when I’ve played this out, it bangs so hard, and was the reason I wanted to include it in this feature.Tags
