NEWSFLASH: fabric/FABRICLIVE at RBMA, Revolutions In Sound

We’re super excited to once again be announcing our involvement with Red Bull’s Revolutions in Sound, a pioneering project that sees an illustrious program of critically acclaimed artists and musical enterprises join forces on the EDF Energy London Eye for one of the biggest celebrations of UK Club Culture. Taking control of our very own pod at one of our capital city’s most iconic landmarks, we join thirty of the most legendary UK club nights of past and present - together for one night only. Representing fabric up in the sky above London will be two DJs - each hailing from each of our revered club nights, fabric and FABRICLIVE – performing an exclusive back-to-back set. Renowned for his unpredictable, tripped out textures of tech-house, dubby techno and abstract beats, Craig Richards has been a pivotal player in the history of fabric, not only as an artist in residence, bringing his arsenal of uncompromising sounds to Farringdon every Saturday, but also providing a musical identity to the club as a fundamental programmer. It deemed only right that we asked the veteran to represent us for this revolutionary event. Alongside Craig will stand a specialist DJ and one of our most esteemed selectors, Ben UFO. A firm favourite amongst our team, Ben will be bringing his immersive fusion of classic house and driving techno to the pod, representing our eminent FABRICLIVE banner (at which his Hessle Audio label have a residency). With a musical aesthetic that transcends dancefloors across the globe as well as an unparalleled ability to seamlessly navigate his way across a pair of turntables, we felt that there was no one better to step up and match Craig selection for selection come November 14th. We’re extra thrilled to be a part of this extraordinary event for the second time, especially as we’re joining a celebration that highlights an array of clubbing institutions like Shoom, Bugged Out, Warehouse Project, Metalheadz, Rinse and Boiler Room as well as an impressive calibre of artists with the likes Gilles Peterson, Rudimental, Boy Better Know and Dusky all taking part. As those lucky enough to dance their way through history somewhere up in the sky beside the Thames, you’re free to dive into the action from your home online via the comprehensive coverage. A world first in live-streaming, all thirty capsules will be broadcast simultaneously on Channel4.com in the UK in partnership with Channel 4, and globally on Red Bull’s YouTube channel so you can participate in this unique celebration.
