It’s around about this time of year that the main (and more fortunate) chunk of the dance community migrates to the sunnier planes of South America. Whether that's simply for a break from the severe cold their home cities most probably serve up or to take part and enjoy the happenings around Mexico's BPM festival, it really is all about finding some actual warm sunshine and not losing all of the feeling in your exposed extremities every time you leave the house.
Tiefschwarz are among those lucky people who recently travelled to this land of paradise, stacking up a ten day visit, which makes them the perfect candidates to lay down a tour diary for us before they head back to Room One this coming Saturday. We just hope they’ve packed a coat for the return journey...
Playa del Carmen, Lima, Tulum - what nice way to start 15 - escaping from the suicide-weather in Berlin for at least 10 days... We started off in Playa del Carmen for the Watergate showcase with Marco Resmann, Alex Niggemann and Matthias Meyer.. also our BPitch-friends Kiki and Camea also showed up so everybody was very happy with the premier of Watergate event in Mexico. The very next morning I had to leave to head to Lima to play a beach party with Russ Yallop and some other friends from Fact/Barcelona - the party was ok but the after party was the actual fun part.
Finished with that I left to meet some dear friends who have a house nearby directly on the pacific ocean - so the next 2 days was only amazing food, walks on the beach, relaxing and enjoying the sunset - and even Masomenos left their mark on the wall. The next day I left Lima to fly back to Cancun.. from there directly to Iulum were I'm staying for another 3 days at Papaya Playa which is actually almost like Berlin at the moment - so many friends, it's unbelievable. Martin (Acid Pauli) did Boiler Room there last night which was amazing. So now we're finally getting to enjoy the Caribbean beach just doing nothing.Tiefshwarz play Room One this Saturday night.
