Hard graft is no stranger to Ila Brugal. Our bass-proficient resident has been playing hard-hitting sets at major venues almost every weekend since she first started out, making her name – and a lot of noise – next to some of the most respected talent in underground bass. She’s had mixes on platforms like Keep Hush and a feature on Foreign Beggars’ imprint Foreign Currency, now Ila is a staple on London radio Balamii, NTS and Rinse FM and a member of the notorious Croydub entourage. A true driving force for bass in the local scene.

With a sound heavily inspired by the likes of Madlib, J Dilla and Sango from the hip-hop world, and bass influences from Ivy Lab and Alix Perez, Ila's sets reflect her keen interest in a wide scope of genres. Her eclectic musical taste and deep bag of dubs has the ability to elate and surprise a crowd in equal measure. With her residency underway, we're expecting sets that are a swift exit from our comfort zone, and entry into new, unfamiliar realms.
