Imagine having one of probably the most vital collections of jungle tapes, ever... You'd be so overloaded with easy access to some of the most defining moments in jungle and drum & bass history, it'd be easy (and understandable) if you never actually came up for air or ever listened to anything else. This particular set, submitted as part of DJ Hype's ongoing monthly mix series for our website, was recorded back in 1993 and is packed full of seminal breakbeats that capture and personify the rush of excitement around the rave incarnations of the music at the time. Hype came across it somewhere in his collection and considering how a proper 'old school' set from one of the original masters of jungle is consistently a pretty in demand thing, we're chuffed to bits to be able to host it and post it ahead of the next Playaz event here in Room One on Friday 27th September...
