Simply put, Éclair Fifi is a DJ from Edinburgh who is currently in rotation on BBC Radio 1‘s In New DJs We Trust. She’s also an integral member of the Lucky Me label, a collective of like-minded Scots who’ve released records from artists like Machinedrum, Baauer, Jacques Greene, Lunice and TNGHT and regularly hold down a show on London’s underground zenith, Rinse FM. She’s also a resident at Hoya:Hoya, one of Manchester’s premiere club nights; a crew that’s been built from the ground up through the strength of the resident’s record collections and their personal relationships with the headline artists they book. Éclair’s appeared here in Farringdon a number of times (if you’re a fabricfirst member, you can hear an archive of the last time she played here) for Hoya:Hoya and each time she seems to grow into the challenge confidently mashing together the types of genres and styles she’s long been a bit of an expert on.
