For our first fabric Presents this coming Friday night, we’ve invited a host of artists from the leftfield leaning side of techno to play in Room Two, as Oliver Ho showcases his Broken English Club project alongside Samuel Kerridge’s industrialised live set. Finally, we’re also stoked to be welcoming back Cosmin TRG (aka Cosmin Nicolae) to head up the bill.
Nicolae has been a regular in the depths of our Room Two space for some time now, and after the experience of his last set here with us almost exactly 12 months ago we’re particularly amped to witness his return.
As the Romanian DJ closed out the room while Ricardo Villalobos was warming up in Room One, it was one of those nights where time had become transient. His set was strikingly strong and held such a firm vibe in the room we asked him to give us an impromptu extended performance – ending long after the room was due to close. With this night still firmly etched in our memories even a year later, we got in touch with Cosmin to unlock his set for everyone to hear. We’re now very proud to share this in full ahead of his return on Friday.
Speaking to us via email, Cosmin told us:
“Room Two in fabric is one of my favourite places to play. The energy and the sound are always at peak levels, and the team is the loveliest around. That night I was on closing duties, and as I thought things were going to wind down, the place just filled up again and I was asked to keep playing. I loved every second of it as none of it was planned, and just locked into the crowd and kept going with the vibe. Hope this recording gives you a glimpse into that special morning.”
