Audio: Stream the preview of 'Unknown Origin', Luke Slater's new album

There’s nothing quite like the airborn technoid fever that surrounds Luke Slater. One of the most esteemed titans in the techno business, only a select few operate on the same par as this true pioneer does. Seemingly on a relentless crusade to express himself through his output, his plethora of records remains above and beyond all things, persistently relevant and refreshing and his latest work is yet another example of Slater’s consistent vitality. Out on the Ostgut Ton imprint, Unknown Origin is the debut album from Slater’s L.B. Dub Corp moniker. Recorded at Spacestation, the ten track project forges a further episode in his astrological quest to take its listeners all the way back to the fine roots of dance music. Doused in deep spiritual dubs, sliced with piano and slick techno whilst being fused together with the sharp lyricsm of Benjamin Zephaniah, the record exceeds the musical stratosphere, firmly placing Slater at the forefront of his fellow electronica cohorts. Performing live for us under his Planetary Assault System alias on Saturday 16th November, we thought it right to support Luke even further on his musical mission and share the preview of his eagerly awaited album…
