There a few producers in this internet guided world have such a pronounced impact on the wider music music as Joy Orbison and Boddika have had of late. Seperately they’ve both had incredible discographies but their production partnership’s fruits have been released implicitly on limited run 12”s on their SunkLo imprint. Starting off with their ‘Froth’ b/w ‘Mercy’ 12” back in February which was followed by ‘Dun Dun’ b/w ‘Prone’ in April both pressings have sold out, showing just how in demand the remarkable pairing are, in a world where vinyl sales are exponentially waning.
Their third release is only just on preview and pre-order today and already you’ll probably be hard pressed to get a copy before it goes on the second hand, ridiculously inflated market. You can see when you learn that A side ‘Faint’ welcomes Pearson Sound into the SunkLo fold and, as the previews show, presents an audial delivery of production super talent.
The soundcloud clips also serve as the perfect fanfare for the news that Joy Orbison will be returning to our disco this summer here he’ll join Dixon, October and Session Victim (live) in Room One. We’re also pretty sure that if you’re happy to hear that news you’ll also enjoy the fact that Pinch and Shackleton will be the guests joining Craig Richards in Room Two for The Nothing Special...
