Thank you for a great New Year – here's to 2023.

If this New Year's Eve and Day parties are anything to go by, it's going to be a great year ahead.

It's been quite a year. Before we jump into our NYE & NYD round ups, and get started on a brand new season at fabric, let's take a moment to reflect on the past 12 months and thank all of you for dancing with us this year.

What might look like just another year in clubland, has been a pretty special one for us – although it has not been without its sadness and losses. On the year we marked our 23rd Birthday with another staple marathon party, we also launched our first festival EXODUS, welcomed a new label imprint fabric Originals into the fold, let out fresh mixes from Nicola Cruz, Mind Against, TSHA and Leon Vynehall, put on a show in collaboration with English National Opera the the London Collesum, and of course saw through countless weekends of back-to-back events right here in our Farringdon home.

As ever, we couldn't have got through the year without you, our dancers and our listeners. Thank you. We’ve just about recovered from the New Year’s antics... Huge thank you to everyone who danced with us across the weekend. Keep reading for a full recap, and photo gallery from the weekend in which we closed out 2022, and welcomed in 2023.

NYE

The big NYE bash was a show-stopper to say the least, with some of our favourites back to soundtrack a sold-out night as we saw in the dawning of 2023.

The festivities were in full swing across all three rooms; our own Hutch and Anna Wall teaming up for a B2B to kick things off, Silverlining laying down the first Room 1 set of the new year, followed by a mighty return from East End Dubs and finally Archie Hamilton who closed us out.

LUXE got Room 2 warm as we counted down to midnight, with Chloé Robinson soundtracking the first hours of 2023, and Alan Fitzpatrick shutting things down. Room 3 also got going after midnight with Jake Beautyman and Oliver Moon back to add even more energy to the night.

NYD

The following night was equally as special If NYD is anything to go by, it’s going to be a great year...

As if our first line-up of 2023 wasn’t tasty enough, with heavyweights like Overmono and LCY returning to smash it out, we were also treated to a very special, very spontaneous B2B2B on Sunday night as Four Tet and Floating Points turned up quite unexpectedly to join Daphni. A rare, and very special way indeed to start the new year...

Before all of that, the night was already firing on all cylinders. Giulia Tess was readying Room 1 with the explosive Tia Cousins getting us going in Room 2 ahead of two uncompromising sets from Overmono and LCY. fabric favourite IMOGEN was back to close out Room 2 with a heated few hours, and a very special nod to our closing act Truly Madly, who followed the surprise triple-act with a weighty final flourish to an evening that has well-and-truly got us excited for the year ahead.

The atmosphere across both nights was truly unmatched, and it’s fair to say we’re feeling pretty damn good about the year ahead...

Happy New Year from all of us at fabric x
