Watch: Helena Hauff on bringing the energy of her 'fabric presents' mix to Room 1

Join Helena Hauff, mix artists IMOGEN, Nite Fleit, Radioactive Man and The Exaltics, plus Bambounou and FREAKENSTEIN on Saturday 30th September for the mix launch.

Helena Hauff on the art of having limitations, her love of the breaksy UK sound, and translating the energy of her ‘fabric presents’ mix to Room 1. Making a great compilation is hard to do. But Helena Hauff has done it. Some say it should start with a bang (Helena Hauff – ’Turn Your Sights Inward’), grabbing our attention forthright, after-which developing carefully through a chosen style, genre, or theme (sounds of electro, breakbeat, techno and squelching acid from the likes of IMOGEN and Nite Fleit, YTP and more); it shouldn’t shy away from peaking our interest with rare or unreleased gems (Magda Rot – ‘Alter Simus’) – as well as scoping the classics too (Radioactive Man's 'Night Bus To Nowhere’).

It must take it up a notch just at the right time - be but careful not to overdo it – then cool it down before on a memorable conclusion (for the first time on digital, Autechre's remix of D-Breeze's 'Crazy For Love’) that makes you want to go back and listen all over again.

Join us, Helena, mix artists IMOGEN, Nite Fleit, Radioactive Man and The Exaltics, plus invited guests Bambounou and FREAKENSTEIN this Saturday 30th September for the mix launch.
