Born out of an accident a few years back, Punks Jump Up is the musical pairing of Joe and David, two producers who were enraptured by the DIY ethos of punk and dance music, street art and fashion. Early collaborations like ‘Be You (Beep Beep)’ and ‘Dance To Our Disco’ found homes on their own Cassette label and Kitsune respectively, and their latest release, ‘Blockhead’ – also out on Kitsune – was released earlier this month and has already become a staple of many including 2ManyDJs, used profusely on their Under The Covers tour. Performing in Room Two this weekend for the Kill Em All gang, alongside Aeroplane and The Shit Robot Show, the Punks drafted together a promo mix to kick start your Monday, give you a little insight into their music and get to learn what you can expect from their set this Friday.
