Stream: Brand New Guido Material

Purveyor of some of Bristol’s most charismatic melodies, Guido, has been a little bit quiet since his debut album, Anidea, came out on Peverelist’s Punch Drunk label in 2010 – releasing only one or two collaborations and a couple of 12”s, but creating a brand new vehicle to house them in the form of his own House of Joy imprint. Anyway, he just uploaded a rather cloaked but intriguing insight to his SoundCloud that’s simply called ‘2013 Snippet’ – a five minute long look at what sounds like 3 or 4 new productions mixed together or one track that morphs incredibly well between phrases. From the sound of it, he’s lost none of the potency and stylistic command he’s demonstrated before. Catch Gudio in the Tectonic Room Two on Friday 22nd March.
